KNOTA PROJECT

   

Tie your moments with us. 

The term “Knota” is derived from the word “Nota”, a Malay word that translates into “notes”. This Knota Project was made to connect special moments and memories from individuals all around the world. Sharing one significant, special moment of yours creates something bigger together as a community that brings meaning and life into this installation piece.This Installation piece will be travelling around the world for one year and will be reconciled at its home as a complete piece with handwritten special moments on our Knota cards that are tied on individual tassel ropes.

 

How to participate //

Our installation will be travelling around the world and to be located with our respective stockist partners or future events. If you wished to take part on our installation piece, please make reference to the location below.

We are open to audiences who wished to participate online if you are unable to visit the installation in person. Here's how to participate : 

1. Select any three of the following moments that resonates with you. 

Write your moment of Strength 

Write your moment of Hope 

Write your moment of Growth 

2. Send us a short message of your moments to info@taleestudio.com. Title - KNOTA PROJECT MESSAGE. Do include your name or initials & country to the email as well. 

3. Upon receiving your email, we will personally handwrite your msg to our Knota card and knot it to our installation. A photo reference will be send to your email as well. 

Installation Piece

This installation piece was handcrafted by founder Lorraine L. in our studio at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This BAYU Knot is handcrafted with 90% recycled cotton & 70% viscose from bamboo & 30% cotton. This project took about 36 hours to complete the entire installation piece.
